Dr. Scout Lee’s research and experience in organizational consulting has resulted in numerous featured documentaries on her work. She has been featured on CBS, NBC, ABC, Global TV in Canada, and PBS. She had compiled over 2,500 public appearances to include keynote addresses to numerous state and national conventions. Included among these are IBM International, AARP, American Women in Radio and Television, American Psychology Association, The Canadian Home Builders Association, The American Long-Term Health Care Association, The Native American Health Association, WICK, The American Education Association, The Chickasaw Nation, The Seminole Nation, The Choctaw Nation, The National Park and Recreation Association, The National Therapeutic Recreation Society, the Oklahoma Rehabilitation Department, the Center for Disease Control, The City of Stillwater, Oklahoma City, Ada, and Tulsa, and the Institute for Management Studies. She has been the featured speaker at over 25 state universities.
Dr. Lee is the author of a graduate textbook in Program Design and Systems Analysis and is responsible for developing the undergraduate and graduate curriculum in Leisure Sciences / Counseling at the University of Illinois and Oklahoma State University. Her work was accepted as the national standard for competency-based education in Therapeutic Recreation.
Dr. Lee has several years experience both mentoring and supervising doctoral students through their dissertation process at The University of Illinois and Oklahoma State University. Dr. Lee has been awarded numerous Federal Government grants for her research in “Peak Performance” and “Human Excellence” among Physically and Mentally Challenged individuals. Her research, THE SPORP REPORT provided the standards of “accessibility” for handicapped individuals into government run national parks and historic areas. Dr. Lee was one of 11 professionals to write PL-94-142 and its’ enabling legislation which granted “equal education to handicapped persons”. She also worked on the Rehab Act of 1973 granting “equal employment and accessibility to the handicapped”. Dr. Lee has long been a pioneer in “managing diversity”.
Dr. Lee has served as the EXPERIENTIAL MANAGEMENT CONSULTANT for the FAA Center for Management Development. As an FAA consultant, she designed and facilitated experiential learning activities that focused on personal empowerment, leadership skills, communications, visioning, problem-solving and team-building. She led the team of Vision Us, Inc. trainers in providing certification in safety and facilitation training to the faculty of the FAA Center for Management Development. She has been the invited guest of the United States Postal Service where she presented Experiential Learning Technologies to 36 government agencies, including the Navy, Marines, Air Force, CIA, FBI, The Department of Transportation, The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, and the BIA.
Dr. Lee has conducted over 400 Sacred Circle personal empowerment trainings for women and families, on five of the seven continents. She is a member of the Wolf Song Peace Elders and travels annually to meet with indigenous elders from around the world. Dr. Lee is one of the two top published authors in the fields of Human Communication, Corporate Team Building, Tracking Excellence, Therapeutic Recreation, Leisure Counseling, and NLP Ropes Course technologies. She is a pioneer in EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING TECHNOLOGIES, and is a dynamic, spell-binding motivational speaker, trainer, and corporate coach. Dr. Lee is a masterful Builder of Teams and a dynamic leadership and TEAM coach.
Dr. Lee successfully competed in the CBS Hit Show Survivor and finished in the final three in Vanuatu.
