Emmy award-winning anchor and writer Lisa Mason began her news career in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma in1987. After receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Central Oklahoma, Lisa joined the Oklahoma City Fox affiliate as weekend news anchor where she remained for two years.

In 1989, Lisa joined PBS as news anchor, producer and writer. In addition to anchoringthe evening newscasts, she also hosted a weekly talk show. During her five-year tenure,Lisa wrote and produced several award-winning documentaries. Among them was Facesof Aids for which she received an Emmy award. The Society of Professional Journalismhonored her for her documentary When Children Kill. Lisa also wrote, hosted andproduced The Western Heritage Awards, which was met with such critical acclaim, that itwas re-broadcast on the TNN Network.

In 1995, Lisa was hired by the QVC Shopping Network in West Chester, Pennsylvania as host. While there, she was seen in approximately 90 million homes, five days perweek. During her tenure, Lisa specialized in the areas of jewelry, beauty and fashion.Lisa earned her GIA certification and, in 2000, became the face and voice of QVC’s proprietary jewelry brand, Diamonique. Over the next ten years, Lisa helped to buildthe brand to 586-million-dollars annually, its most profitable status to date. In addition,she worked regularly with leaders in the beauty industry. Lisa served as host for thenationally televised CEW (Cosmetic Executive Women) awards show and was frequentlycalled upon to launch new beauty brands. Lisa represented QVC nationally andinternationally. She remained there until 2010.

That same year, Lisa created Contawe Consulting, LLC, a company that specializes inthe area of media training, with an emphasis on electronic retailing and direct response.Lisa coaches clients privately and has joined the staff at The Actor’s Connection inManhattan, where she teaches students the fundamentals of connecting with the viewer.Since that time, Lisa has been tapped by Procter and Gamble, L’Oreal, Cutex,Maidenform, Sealy Posturpedic, Solyzyme, Algenist, Temt-tu, and others, to trainsales teams, perfect company messages, motivate and increase profitability.

Lisa has continued her on-camera work, as well. Recently, Lisa was selected as the host for Guthy-Ranker’s “Supersmile” infomercial. This multi-million-dollar campaignlaunched in early 2012 and has been so successful that it is currently ranked as one of themost successful productions in Guthy-Ranker history.

As a result of her successful media/communications training, Lisa was called upon to act as the Mistress of Ceremonies/writer for the global Aids Awareness Day in December.

This New York City, invitation-only event, was sponsored by the Oprah WinfreyNetwork in conjunction with World Vision. Lisa was handpicked to lead this initiativedue to her ability to connect with others and motivate.In 2011, Lisa published her first book Big Life Lessons from that Still, Small Voice. Dueto the book’s popularity and reviews, Barnes and Noble sponsored a multi-city book tour.

Lisa’s New York City book-signing event on the Upper East Side of Manhatten garnered the most attendance for a new author in that location’s history.From the Writer’s Digest review: “This little book contains some huge ideas. Lisa’s ability to find lessons in life is remarkable; they’re not obvious, and in fact, I would not have found them. Reader reviews arealso available on those sites.Lisa has been involved in other projects, as well. She was on the Bravo series Blow Out and the CBS program 48 Hours. She has been an in-studio guest for FOX andNBC morning shows and has been seen in the pages of Broadcasting and Cable, Lucky magazine and The Philadelphia Inquirer.
